Security, Defence and International Relations

The Security, Defence and International Relations theme includes statistics on defence and security (e.g. defence finance, export and import sales, air passenger experience of security screening and manpower numbers and health of the Armed Forces). For international relations, the theme covers the breakdown of UK official aid flows from the Department for International Development (DFID) and other government departments and the UK’s pledge to spend 0.7% of GDP on aid.

Recent activity includes a compliance check of MoD Health and Safety Statistics.

We are currently planning on carrying out a compliance check within International Development and will be working to understand the statistics and data landscape within Security, Defence and International Relations. We will also be working to build relationships with producers, including within the Department for International Relations and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
