The Public Administration and Constitutional Affairs Committee has published a letter from the Chief Secretary to the Prime Minister confirming that the campaign to recruit a permanent Chair of the UK Statistics Authority has closed without appointment.
A new campaign will be launched in 2026. Penny Young will remain in post as interim Chair until a permanent Chair has been appointed.
